History:
The Shuttle two-seat three axis strut-braced high wing with flaperons ultralight aircraft with an enclosed cabin was produced for some years in the early 1990s and was similar in appearance to the Cadet Boorabee. It was usually powered by a 48-kw (65-hp) Rotax 582 engine but examples were also fitted with the Rotax 503CDI engine driving a Warp Drive ground adjustable two-blade propeller. It ha8 a fuel capacity of 90 litres (19.8 Imp gals) and could be fitted with Tundra tyres and differential hydraulic brakes.
The number that have been built in Australasia over the years has not been ascertained but those completed were registered with Recreation Aviation Australia (RAA) in the 19- series, aircraft registered including Mk I 10-0060 (c/n 001) and Mk II 19-3076 (c/n 076/2). This may also be the same aircraft as the Tatler Shuttle which is dealt with elsewhere.
Cruising speed 130 km/h (81 mph) at 5,400 rpm; empty weight 203 kg (448 lb); max take-off weight 420 kg (926 lb).
