History:
Azor Robbins and Alexander Porter, both of Albury, NSW in 1912 built a single-engine aircraft along the lines of a Bleriot and it was flown on a number of occasions at Bongowanna Park, the first flight being recorded as 27 July 1913. The aircraft was sold to a local garage but was destroyed by fire. The engine was built by Aubrey Lock and Azor Robinson and was an air cooled unit said to provide 30-kw (40-hp). It is known to have survived into the 1990s was noted at one stage in the collection of the Melbourne Science Works Museum at Newport. In later years the aircraft became known as the Albury Monoplane. A replica has been built and it hangs in the Albury Airport terminal in New South Wales. See separate article.
