History:
Replicraft, an American company, has produced plans to build scale replicas of the SPAD VII, SPAD XII, Roland D.VI, Hanriot HD.1, Sopwith Pup, Thomas Morse, Fokker D.VII, Sopwith Camel, Sopwith Triplane, RAF SE.5a and the Sopwith Snipe.
It has also produced plans to build 80% scale replicas of the 1½ Strutter, these being able to be fitted with Australian-built Rotec or HCI Aviation radial engines, or the 75-kw (100-hp) Subaru EA-81 or Mazda 12A rotary engine producing 90-kw (120-hp). Construction of one example is known to have commenced by Cobra Aviation in Australia at Bayswater, Vic. The Company is owned by James Kiger who has produced drawings of a number of World War I aircraft. His drawings are said to have been used by TVAL to assist in constructing reproduction aircraft. Drawings have also been prepared to produce full-scale aircraft; and a one-fifth scale Sopwith 1¹/² strutter for producing models for museum use.
