History:
The P-51B is a two-thirds scale replica of the North American P-51B World War II fighter and is of all-metal construction and designed and built in Australia. It is powered by a Rotax 503 engine which drives a two-blade propeller through a DCD1 E Type gearbox. It is fitted with an electric starter and a muffler. Two examples have been completed and they have a fixed undercarriage and one is painted in a camouflage scheme in RAF colours. These two are registered as 10-0204 (c/n 1) and 19-3428 (c/n 1) with Recreation Aviation Australia (RAA). Cruising speed is 167 km/h (104 mph) and stalling speed is 74 km/h (46 mph).
