The Joey was probably one of the first powered gliders in Australasia, and was designed and built in Australia by Keith Jarvis of South Australia and placed in production. It was powered by a converted Victa motor mower engine of 160-cc. Length 4.57 m (15 ft); height 1.06 m (3 ft 6 in); wing area 7.43 m² (80 sq ft); max speed 129 km/h (80 mph); stalling speed 47 km/h (29 mph); rate of climb 61 m/min (200 ft/.min); empty weight 63.5 kg (140 lb).
