History:
This aircraft was registered on 5 March 2013 as VH-NZG³ (c/n 2009-1). It was built by Robert Grigson of Strathfieldsaye, Vic. and was fitted with an Aero Sport Power IO-375-M1B engine driving a Whirlwind Aviation 200RV propeller. It was an amateur-built aircraft work on which commenced in 2009 in Beaverton in Oregon in the United States. A registration was reserved for it (N215RG) in the United States and the allotment was painted on the aircraft. It seems it was completed and flown there before being imported. It is a two-seat side-by-side monoplane and would appear to have started life as a Vans RV-8 but seems to have been modified by the builder. Specifications would have been similar to the Vans RV-8.
