History:
This machine is basically a two-seat development of the Sadler Vampire. The aircraft was initially developed by the designers of the Vampire but was never completed when the original Australian production line closed down. Some rights to the aircraft were obtained by Ronald Fisher & Associates at Torquay in Victoria, and on 23 June 2001 the prototype of this model (VH-XRF – c/n 001) was registered. Development has continued with a view to placing the type in production. It was expected it would be eventually registered in the light sport aircraft category (LSA) which has been introduced in the United States. A similar two-seat variant of the Sadler Vampire was developed in the United States and was shown at the EAA Fly-in at Oshkosh in mid 2007.
