History:
The Aquila was one of a number of light aircraft designed by Gary Morgan. It was a development of the Cheetah but was heavily modified, having a new tail and elevator and an enlarged fin. Trials were carried out at The Oaks, NSW and the aircraft received the RAA registration 19-5473 (c/n A001) , initial testing taking place in 2013. It was painted white with blue trim with ‘Aquilla’ painted on the tail at an angle. It was registered on 4 January 2013 and was fitted with a 60 kw (80 hp) Jabiru 2200 engine. It is described as a Anthony Bale Aquilla on the RAA register.
