History:
The Genesis was a two-seat, side-by-side, light touring and training aircraft supplied in kit form by SlipStream Industries Inc of Davenport, Idaho. It could be fitted with a variety of engines in the 40 kw (53 hp) to 75 kw (100 hp) range, and most that have been completed have the Rotax 582 or 618 units. A number of options were available, including floats, amphibious floats with pneumatic retractable undercarriage, snow skis, electric flaperons, adjustable seats, wheel pants and a ballistic parachute. A number have been completed in this region, including at least one example on amphibious floats. Construction was of aluminium and fibreglass with Stits covered wings.
In later years the manufacturer became known as SlipStream International, and produced other designs, including the Revelation with a Rotax 503B engine, the Scepter fitted with the Rotax 447, the Sky Blaster with a Rotax 503s engine, and the SkyQuest with two Rotax 503 engines. Examples have been registered under RAA regulations, including 19-3733 (c/n GE-01/0006) fitted with a Rotax 912A engine, and 19-4142 (c/n 84) fitted with a Rotax 912 engine.
