History:
Aero Kros was a Polish company producing light aircraft for the European market and this machine was designed to comply with Federation Aeronautique Internationale microlight regulations and US light sport aircraft regulations. It was a cantilever high-wing monoplane with an enclosed cockpit seating two side-by-side and was fitted with a tricycle undercarriage. It was built from carbon fibre and reinforced polymer. The wing had Fowler flaps.
It was introduced to the aviation world at the Aeroshow aviation event at Friedrichshafen in 2009 and since then has been supplied as a ready-to-fly aircraft. The prototype (SP-SKRU) was flown for the first time in November 2011. In March 2017 production of the aircraft was taken over by HMS Aviation in Krosno, Poland.
First example of the type imported to Australasia was registered ZK-PRO² (c/n 07-11) on 4 December 2015 in New Zealand, this machine having previously been flown in Poland as SP-SROB, being registered to Robert Prochownik of Kohimdraja, Auckland.
