History:
The Alca 2, also known as the Cassar Alca 2, was a timber and foam composite construction two-seat light aircraft designed and developed by its owner – builder Albert Cassar in Australia and was similar externally to the Jodel D-11 and Falconar F12 series. It was registered under RAA ultralight rules as 19-4973 and carried the name ‘Chloe May’.
The prototype was first shown at the Australian International Air Show at Avalon in March 2009. On that occasion the aircraft had a tailwheel undercarriage but in 2017 at the same event at Avalon the aircraft had received some development, had been repainted and was now fitted with a tricycle undercarriage.
