History:
The Baker McMillan glider was an American design of the late 1920s and one example was built from plans by AMSCo in Victoria in about 1928. This Company was involved in glider construction in the 1930s. The design had a tubular steel fuselage and it was built as a glider. On 28 October 1931 it was used in the setting of a record flight.
Some years later, in 1937, the owners made a decision to fit the machine with an engine, and a Harley Davidson motor-cycle engine was converted. This two-cylinder engine was installed but it was not successful. The ultimate fate of the glider is not known.
