History:
Following the completion of the Belworthy Moa, Alan Belworth and his family continued to build light aircraft. In June 2000 a further aircraft was completed, this being the Belworthy Figaro ZK-PUR (c/n Bel 7), an all-wood, fabric covered aircraft, the rudder and elevators being of steel tube construction. Seating two in tandem it was initially fitted with a two-litre Ford Sierra motor vehicle engine suitably modified to drive a propeller. Later it was fitted with a 60 kw (80 hp) Toyota Hilux [2200 cc] petrol engine. The aircraft has regularly been flown and may be seen at local aviation events such as Fly-ins at Forest Field.
