History:
The Wolff WRD-01 project was begun by Bryce Wolff in 1994, being a self designed and built aircraft originally aimed at registration as an ultra-light in the 95.10 category. However, when completed and registered in September 2003, it (VH-BWS – c/n 001) was registered in the experimental category. It is a single-seat aerobatic biplane powered by a 56-kw (75-hp) Rotax engine, weighs 191 kg (421 lb) and is built of wood and metal with fabric covering.
