History:
The Elite Macro was a single-seat open-cockpit all-metal low-wing monoplane designed by Alan Clarke and marketed by Elite Aircraft of Mulgrave, VIC in the 1980s. The cantilever wing comprised a built-up I-beam with hand-beaten aluminium ribs. The monocoque fuselage was of 2024T3 aluminium. A two-seat twin-engine variant was under construction in 1985. Load factors were +6/-6G.
A small number of examples were completed, one being registered as 10-0017 on 12 June 1987 with Recreational Aviation Australia (RAA), fitted with a Rotax 447 engine.
