History:
The Fly Synthesis Syncro was one of a series of light aircraft produced in Italy for the light aircraft market and was introduced at the 2009 Aero Show at Friedrichshafen in Germany, being supplied only as a complete and ready-to-fly aircraft. It was designed to comply with the Federation Aeronautique Internationale microlight rules and the United States Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) Regulations.
The Syncro was a two-seat side-by-side aircraft with a high cantilever wing and an enclosed cockpit. It had a fixed tricycle undercarriage with a Rotax 912ULS engine in the tractor configuration.
It was of composite construction and was produced in two models, the Syncro ULM for the European microlight market with a gross weight of 472 kg (1,042 lb), whereas when produced for the United States and Australian markets as the Syncro LSA it had a gross weight of 600 kg (1,323 lb).
First example of the type seen in this part of the world arrived in 2015, becoming 24-8658 (c/n F4D0030E2FC) registered with Recreational Aviation Australia (RAA) and was based at Serpentine, WA, being used as a demonstrator by the importers and later being seen in eastern Australia.
