History:
A Hamilton biplane was flown by Messrs Seaforth and MacKenzie out of a paddock at Martin, New Zealand in 1913, this being the first flight by a heavier than air machine in the Manawatu area. From August to October some flights were made by Messrs H McKenzie and Y Seaforth at Martin, the machine later passing to Mr L Manghan, and then to the New Zealand Flying School.
