History:
The Hunter was a two-seat ultra-light aircraft available in kit form and powered by a Rotax 912UL four-cylinder four-stroke liquid-and-air-cooled engine based on the Carlson Sparrow 2. The prototype, built at Cessnock, NSW, in later being years based at Bathurst, and later The Oaks. It was registered on 13 January 1999 as 19-3096 (c/n 9409/003) under Recreation Aviation Australia (RAA) regulations.
Built to +6 – 4 G, it was a small high wing monoplane with a braced wing and a tricycle undercarriage. Cruising speed 148 km/h (92 mph); stalling speed 70 km/h (44 mph). Fuel capacity 60 litres (13 Imp gals).
