History:
Ronald Mellow, a resident of Queensland, in the 21st Century designed and built two light aircraft. The second [registration 19-7617] was of all metal construction and was a low-wing monoplane with an enclosed cockpit and fitted with a single-ignition Volkswagen conversion [1835-cc]. It was fitted with a wooden propeller and VHF radio. It had centre-section flaps and drooping ailerons. Cruising speed was 148 km/h (98 mph), had a stalling speed was 59-km/h (37 mph) and initial rate of climb was 213 m/min (700 ft/min).
