History:
Mr Howard Morris, a commercial pilot, in the late 1930s showed some interest in aviation and built a half-size non-flying replica of a Mignet Pou de Ciel (Flying Flea). Later he went about building a small two-seat in tandem low-wing monoplane at his home in Essendon, Vic. It was of wooden construction with fabric covering and had the name Jitterbug painted on the nose and the registration VH-EAM painted on the fuselage. It was fitted with a small two-cylinder two-stroke Villiers engine and was taken to Essendon aerodrome where a couple of ‘hops’ are said to have been made but nothing further. The registration VH-EAM was never officially allotted to this aircraft.
