History:
The Corella was a single-seat light sport aircraft with a high-wing and a tailwheel undercarriage. Registered with Recreation Aviation Australia (RAA) on 1 September 1999 as 19-3224 (c/n 1) it is described as a Glenda Rickard Corella. (see Faint Corella) It was designed and built by Glenda Faint with assistance from Bill Whitney and Cecil Lea. Three wings were built, one for proof loading testing, and it was built to +6 and -4G. Work commenced in 1995 and was completed in 2000, the aircraft being taken to Watts Bridge, Qld for test flying. Power is supplied by a Rotax 503 DCDI engine and it has an electric starter. Both wheels brake simultaneously. The wing has a Clark Y section with constant chord root to tip. fuel is contained in a 45 litre (10 Imp gal) tank in each wing.
