History:
Nestor Slepcev, who migrated to Australia from Yugoslavia, is known for his design and development of the Storch series, which has sold in some numbers around the World. He built a production facility at Beechwood, NSW where the Storch series was produced in kit or factory-built form, and he also developed other designs, including producing a couple of prototypes.
Mr Slepcev also designed an ultra-light aircraft known as the Yugo. This was a high-wing strut-braced machine with an enclosed cockpit of welded steel tube construction with fabric covering. It was a two-seat machine with a fixed tricycle undercarriage and was powered by two 22-kw (30-hp) KFM engines, these being set in the usual position on the leading edge of the wing. This machine was noted operating on the NSW north coast and carried the registration 10-0112, being registered with the AUF / RAA on 8 September 1989 but was de-registered in 1996. It would seem only one example was built.
