This series of ultra-light aircraft was initially built in Switzerland as the Neukom AN-20B and AN-22 and was produced during the 1980s.

The Ask 14 was one of a series of gliders designed by Rudolf Kaiser and built by Alexander Schleicher in Poppenhausen in Germany, the prototype (D-KAIS) flying for the first time in 1967.

The LS-8 series of high-performance gliders emanated from Germany and was designed in 1994 to meet the requirements of some operators to have an engine for sustaining flight to prevent out-landings and sometimes damage to the aircraft.

The AC-5M was developed by Aviastroitel in Russia, being one of a series of gliders / sailplanes developed by that company.
